Dave Erlichman earned his BA from Ohio Wesleyan University before obtaining his juris doctor from the Claude W. Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University. Since beginning his legal career, he has demonstrated exceptional skill in both negotiation and trial advocacy, consistently securing favorable outcomes including in cases that seem unbeatable. In his first year of practice, Dave Erlichman succeeded in getting the state to offer a manslaughter plea for a first degree murder charge where the defendant shot a victim lying on the ground at point blank range.
In the following years Dave Erlichman has recorded many more trial achievements, including five consecutive murder acquittals, one of which was the widely publicized State v. Salmon. In January 2026 alone, he got the state to lower an offer of 4.5 years DOC to 1.5 years with probation for a client charged with several counts of fraud, forgery, taking identity, and prohibited possession. The client had prior felony convictions. Dave Erlichman also secured supervised probation for a client charged with kidnapping and assault. He is currently defense counsel in the highly publicized Essa Williams case, which President Donald Trump has publicly weighed in on.
